Available as both a sedan and a wagon, the 2007 Subaru Outback carries an MSRP ranging from $19,195 to $30, 295. The basic models are the Outback Sport, Outback 2.5i, Outback 2.5 XT LTD, and the Outback 3.0 R.
The Outback is powered by a 173-hp, 2.5 liter, 4-cylinder Subaru Boxer engine. With sport-design instrumentation and tricot upholstery, the wagon's cargo-area compartment can be flexibly configured with four tie-down hooks.
The 2.5i (from $21,995), which is available as a basic wagon, an L.L. Bean edition wagon, and a Limited Sedan, is powered by the same engine as the base Outback model. It features Subaru's own all-wheel drive system, as well as a heavy-duty raised suspension.
The 2.5 XT LTD (from $30,995) is tough enough for any terrain with a 243 hp, 2.5-liter DOHC turbocharged engine that also has special internal cooling features. The wagon has both a stability control and a traction, control system in addition to the proprietary "SI-Drive" performance management system.
The 3.0 R (from $30,295) is offered as an L.L. Bean Edition Sedan and an L.L. Bean Edition Wagon. Both are powered by a 245-hp, 3.0 liter, 6-cylinder engine configured with an automatic transmission that also has additional technology to allow drivers to manually shift gears when needed. As with the other models, the L.L Bean editions of the 2007 Subaru Outback come with all-wheel drive.
