The 2008 Nissan 350Z sports car offers high quality, long term reliability and exceptional performance. Available as either a hatchback coupe or convertible/roadster, there are several trim levels from which to choose, all of which provide precise and responsive handling and enough power to offer the opportunity to enjoy a most exciting and pleasurable journey on a daily basis.
All models are rear wheel drive and propel forth via a 3.5 liter V6 that delivers 306 horsepower. Depending upon trim level, the transmission is either a 6 speed manual or 5 speed automatic-however, the Base 350Z and the top of the line Nismo trims only available with the smooth, reliable and fun to operate 6 speed manual.
There are 5 variations of the 350Z-the Base 350Z, Enthusiast, Touring, Grand Touring and Nismo. The Base 350Z and Nismo models are only available in the hatchback coupe body style, while all other trims are available as either roadster or coupe. All models include 18 inch wheels, a CD/MP3 player with steering wheel mounted audio controls, automatic climate control and full power accessories. The Enthusiast builds upon those features and adds a limited slip differential and cruise control. The Touring includes leather seats (which are heated in roadster), a premium Bose audio system with satellite radio, and Bluetooth. The Grand Touring adds larger brakes, lighter weight wheels and a front and rear spoiler.
The limited edition Nismo 350Z is uniquely designed to be aerodynamic and ultra high performance and includes a firmer sport suspension system, larger brakes and lighter wheels(identical to the Grand Touring) and a finely tuned exhaust system. The premium cloth upholstery seats are a combination of sporty red and black and a number plaque on the dash boasts its limited production number in build order.
The roadsters' power operated soft fabric top with heated glass rear window operates seamlessly and can be put down in less than 20 seconds. As with all convertibles, trunk space is diminished and in this case it is down to a tiny 4.1 cubic feet.
The 2008 Nissan 350Z is one of those cars you don't just drive, you experience the ride. Regardless of which rear wheel drive performance trim you choose, there are few others that offer the 350Z's perfect blend of style and sport performance-and for under $50,000, it is also one of the best values in the sport car category.
