To correspond with the move upscale of the brand, GM' German arm — Opel — will be revealing a new logo at the London Motor Show this year. The all-new badge will debut on the new Opel Insignia. Vauxhall, Opel's sister brand, will debut a new logo also at the London show.
So, while the brand new badge will be keeping the tradition look of Opel, it's intended to better convey the new focus on style and design. "Capturing that combination of beautifully-sculpted shapes together with German precision is very much consistent with the overall design language and philosophy of our vehicles," Mark Adams, the GM Europe's head of design, told the Automotive News.
Opel's trying to revamp the image as its sales in Europe continue on dwindling. Through these first four months on the year, the sales of Opel were down with 8.2 percent.
