Vokswagen announced prices for the new four-door, four-seater coupe, Passat CC, which is available for ordering from retailers across the United Kingdom from next week, on 16th May - Friday. The first autos, if ordered now, will begin arriving in the United Kingdom in the middle of July. The entry-level CC, 1.8-litre TSI 160 PS will be costing £21,040 RRP the road, with costs rising to £31,120 for the area-topping V6 300 PS 3.6-liter.
The Passat CC model opens a brand new market niche for VW and strengthens the firm’s range of units in the hotly-contested B-segment. Having high quality plus impressive specification levels across the range, the Passat CC unit is likely to be appealing to fleet and private customers alike.
Three engines are now available at the debut – two petrol plus one diesel. The petrol options are 1.8-liter TSI model developing 160 PS plus 184 lbs ft of torque that's linked to a six-speed manual or a DSG gearbox plus that flagship 3.6-liter V6 FSI having 300 PS and 258 lbs ft torque channeled via 4MOTION four-wheel drive plus DSG gearbox. Some common rail 2.0-liter TDI having 140 PS is offered at launch also, and will be joined on September by a 170 PS variant of the same power plant. Some additional 2.0-liter petrol unit, 200 PS, will become available also at this time.
