Ford Granada the worst auto in Detroit

While Detroit made some pretty pathetic autos in the 1980s and on early `90s, so... no time was worse now for the Motor City than the 1970s. Car quality suffered with the struggle of Big Three for meeting new standards on emissions while trying to keep simultaneous their cars large. There are a lot of autos to choose from to naming "Worst car to roll out of Detroit" (there are most taken from the 1970s) presidential hopeful Barack Obama already has given the crown to Ford Granada.
"The car I learned to drive on was my grandfather's Ford Granada. … It may be the worst car that Detroit ever built," Obama told WFBQ, Indianapolis radio station. "This thing was a tin can. It was during the '70s when oil had just gone up, so they were trying to compete with the Japanese. They wanted to keep the cars big, so they made them out of tin foil. It would rattle and shake. You basically couldn't go over 80 without the thing getting out of control."
Granada was made along side its sister auto, the Mercury Monarch model, 1975 - 1982.
Obama's statement bring up a quite interesting point, though — what's the worst auto ever to be made by the domestic carmakers? There is a lot of choices — from the Ford Pinto to Pontiac Aztek — so what is yours?
