Ferrari released the first 3 photos this morning of its all-new Ferrari California. This exotic grand tourer will be displayed in October at the Paris International Car Show. The hardtop convertible runs with Ferrari's 4.3-liter V8, making 460 horsepower.
It is not known if the auto will be marketed as a simply "Ferrari California," or as a "Ferrari F430 GT California," as some recent trademark suggested.
This all-aluminum California model is the first Ferrari to have its engine mounted on the mid-front position.
The auto can hit 60 mph under 4.0 seconds, according to that Italian carmaker. A brand new seven-speed dual clutch transmission enters in the California, plus the F1-Trac traction control system, offered first with the 599 GTB Fiorano is included also.
"The Ferrari California is aimed at owners who desire a car which embodies everything the Prancing Horse represents in terms of sporty design and innovation, but also seek a car with greater versatility than ever," said the automaker in a press release.
