Today photos of a Mercedes prototype, covered up, surfaced showing an extremely low slung model revealing a small cabin sitting on the back and a long hood. Spy photographers waited for the first covers to come off, knowing the AMG officials were preparing to test the auto. Premiere shots of the Mercedes next super-sports car show a front engine layout resembling the current SLR supercar.
We can imagine the final proportions of the car although the ultimate version won鈥檛 be in any way like this test mule (the model is covered with Dodge Viper false panels)., HWA, Mercedes鈥� racing partner announced, earlier in the year, that it was developing the carmaker鈥檚 next sports auto; officially it would be based on the next-gen SL platform.
In this test-mule the wheelbase was measured to be 106in and seeing that AMG engineers were testing the auto and not HWA staffers, we can assume that this could be a new powerful roadster for Maybach.
