Clay Dean will be the new global design director of Cadillac according to General Motors. Dean will design several new Cadillac autos planned for the next few years, including the highly awaited sedan, slotted below the CTS.
Dean has joined GM in 1988 and since 2004 has been design director for small and mid-sized cars. Dean, 46, has worked on three GM architectures and led designs of the Saturn Sky roadsters and Pontiac Solstice, Chevrolet HHR wagon, Chevrolet Cobalt small car and the new Chevrolet Malibu sedan, reports Automotive News. Dean was also responsible for the Saturn Aura, this year's North American Car of the Year.
