Rajesh Kutty created the original Ford Escort model; a MA Automotive Design - Coventry University. Now, a modern interpretation is the Benchmark Escort Mk-I Concept.
The model is more faithful in style because the rally is going original, not like the road going brother. We can see that from the wheels, the bubble wheel arches, netted headrests of the ‘Mexico’, the paintwork and the number of lamps.
In Ford Escort concept the lower pair of lamps for fog remains the same, the typical style of the rally autos that time.
The base for the front grille is taken from the three bar grille that its American cousin shows off and deviated out ending up as seats for headlamp LEDs.
