The upcoming A3 Cabrio had been spotted on U.S. shores for the first time by the spy photographers. The model is expected to debut at Geneva Motor Show in March, although the introduction may occur at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.
The newest A3 is changed significantly in style. The front fascia will have perhaps a new hood, a new lower spoiler and narrower headlights featuring a more commanding grill. A5-styled taillights will be included in the new rear fascia.
The changed style will help align the vehicle with the A4 sedan next-generation and the newly unveiled A5 coupe. The harsh raked rear window makes the side profile remain the same like in A3model. The soft-top, electrically operated, will show twin roll-over hoops, folding flat in the back the rear seats.
The A3 was first presented in 2005 in North America. Since the middle of the 1990s the model has been available in Europe.
