Today Toyota has announced its partnership with Isuzu. They will be producing a small diesel engine for the European market.
The contract will allow Toyota to take advantage of the great reputation of diesel technology from Isuzu. Since November last year, Toyota owns 5.9% of Isuzu. Starting in 2012, the 1.6 liter diesel will be available for the Toyota autos in Europe.
