The executive vice president of General Motor`s Chinese joint venture with SAIC Motor Corp. will be named the head of Chrysler`s Asian operations, starting the 1st October. This top exec is Phil Murtaugh and he has been working for GM for the last 32 years. The Chinese venture that has been under his lead for the last 15 months is in the top of carmakers market.
This is the second Toyota executive to be hired for Chrysler in the last month. This is an effort that the company has made for improving the power of its brand.
