Daimler CEO will be developing engines with BMW

In Der Spiegel Dr. Dieter Zetsche – Daimler CEO says the carmaker would be open to the idea of developing an engine with BMW cross-town rival. Daimler is in talks apparently with a few companies about joint drafts, but for now, nothing is sure.

The idea of a co-designed engine between the two German monsters is a very interesting one, especially if both parts begin to concentrate on way to innovate propulsion. Pixie-dust power, fresh fuels, an increase of turbos!? It remains to be seen.
