Has been confirmed by Audi that the engine which will be used in the R8 starting 2008 is the same V10 twin-turbocharged engine present in the RS6.
The new twin-turbocharged engine delivers 530 hp, which means 110-hp above the current V8 4.2-liter.
Further upgrades are expected in the form of bigger tires and wheels, a stiffer suspension, larger brakes and a few minor style twists to set break the basic model.
