Ford will show a production variant of its 2008 Kuga at the Frankfurt Auto Show, next week, on Tuesday. It was built on the exact platform as the European Ford Focus and the inspiration for the small crossover was the iosis X Concept which was revealed at the 2006 Paris Motor Show, carrying the kinetic design by Ford. The Kuga will be produced in Germany at Ford`s Saarlouis factory.
The Kuga will have in front or all-wheel drive featuring a diesel engine or gasoline option. Ford declares the all-wheel drive Kuga will feature `impressive on-road dynamics coupled with substantial off-road ability`. The first crossover - the Kuga, designed, developed locally by Ford of Europe. Kuga will hit the market in Europe at the beginning of 2008.
