Carlos Tavares – Nissan Motor Co.`s global product chief announced at the Frankfurt Auto Show, in an interview, that by 2010 the line-up for Infiniti will be expanding by 50%, meaning `10 or so` nameplates.
Infiniti hasn’t decided yet what vehicles will bring, but Tavares reports: `You can imagine — crossovers, a sports-oriented car, a high-end car.`
Infiniti will also expand itself into the Western Europe in fall next year. Tavares says efforts for expanding geographic reach for Infiniti are necessary in building volumes. He adds that a broader lineup will push dealer investment in the high-end stores.
