Nine days after the contract ended between GM and the UAW, they have to come to an understanding on employee concessions; this includes a two-tier wage structure and a scheme that would entrust UAW to be take costs responsibility for retiree health care. A union source says, if nothing is accomplished, the UAW has a strike ready for 11 AM this morning.
