Europe`s biggest auto maker just posted the largest month-on-month growth in its entire history. The People`s Car and its family class did 12.1-percent more gain in August 2007 than in August previous year, getting 286,000 autos into new homes.
For the year, VW sales raised up 8.3-percent over last year, with 2.4 million Golfs finding new homes. This numbers are lead by the gains in emerging market, with Brazil increasing 30-percent, China up 27.4-percent, and Argentina having 21.3-percent more business. This year Volkswagen expects to sell more than 3.5 million vehicles.
