Å koda`s fifth model production line will begin in 2009 and lots of new jobs will be appearing in the company`s home country after this announcement. The Kvasiny facility… with Å koda`s other factory in VrchlabÃ, will be modernized and expanded to meet the board`s goal of owning three full-scale Czech plants by 2010.
Mladá Boleslav – the automaker`s main factory and headquarters, will continue the production of Octavia and Fabia. However, the Bratislava Volkswagen plant will ensure the satisfaction of high demand for autos by increasing the Octavia production.
Detlef Wittig – the chairman of Škoda`s board of directors, affirmed: `Thanks to the growing demand for the Octavia we are looking for suitable manufacturing capacities elsewhere that will enable us to quickly react to the enormous interest shown by customers in our model range`.
