BMW is thinking of adding a fourth name to its present portfolio of BMW, Rolls-Royce and Mini. Norbert Reithofer – BMW CEO is scheduled to present a strategy to the carmaker`s supervisory board tomorrow, debating about the fourth brand likely.
Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung – the German newspaper reported the story, but didn`t mention a specific company or department that BMW brand might go after, indicating just that BMW`s target would be a premium nameplate from Europe.
BMW has ruled out the possibility of buying Volvo from Ford, but the Land Rover and Jaguar brands could still be acquired.
