A former Toyota executive – Jim Farley —— is now group vice president in marketing and communications at Ford. Recently, Farley was general manager of Toyota`s Lexus department, and for the last 17 years has been working for Toyota. Farley – 45 years old, will start working for Ford at the middle of November and will be reporting directly to Allan Mulally – Ford CEO.
`He brings so many good things` Mulally told the Automotive News. `It`s a proven track record of marketing and product development and working together and the knowledge of one of the finest production systems in the world with Toyota. He also has admired Ford over the years. He appreciates what we`re doing today`.
