Volkswagen pushed back its production start date of next-generation Golf. Internally named MkVI, the Golf was supposed to debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show; sales will follow in the fall. Anyway, design modifications have pushed back the vehicle`s world unveiling until September 2008 at the Paris Motor Show sales starting in 2009 — delaying for almost 6 months.
When Martin Winterkorn took the lead at VW, he wanted to review all new autos and wouldn`t give any green light until he saw them. It seems that he didn`t like the new Golf`s design, so… the delay appeared.
