Daimler AG is wants to shift more production to the US due to the thin dollar value. `Over time, if the dollar relationship stays where it is, we have to increase our production activity in the US` said Klaus Maier – Daimler Executive Vice President.
Maier also affirmed that Daimler`s purchasing has increased in North America, gaining on the exchange rate. Mercedes already builds SUVs in the United States.
Maier didn`t gave any time frame for the increased production in U.S.
