BMW M

The BMW M Series was introduced to the non-racing community in 1978. The first M Series car was numbered M1. The first M model was more of a car meant to be used on race tracks than on roads. The first real M Series car meant for ordinary drivers was The M535i. A point to note here is that several models from the BMW family of cars were modified by the Motor Sports Division of BMW, but not all were labeled M. The first M5351 was powered by M30 engine which had 6 cylinders. The car had sports seats manufactured under the brand name Recaro and bigger brakes. This version of the M Series was available until 1981 and BMW sold only 1410 of them.

The second generation vehicle came into the market in 1981. This car was powered by a S30 engine which had 24 cylinders. This series of M cars were equipped with windows that could be operated with the touch of a finger, all doors could be locked at the same time with a single key, alloy tires and lights to combat the fog. In mid 1987 the second generation M Series was replaced by a new car. It came in two types, each with its own engine. The 525i was powered by the M20 engine while the 535i by The M30. The car was a huge success as it became known for its safety. This vehicle was replaced in 1997 by another version of The M Series which was powered by a 4.9 Liter S62 V8 engine. The car was equipped with front and side airbags, an anti lock braking system and air conditioning.

The new generation of BMW M Series cars is available in two types, a coupe or a roadster. Both are powered by a 3.2 Liter engine, which has 6 cylinders and 6 gears that can be handled manually. The vehicle has a strengthened front and back body, 18 inch tires, and vehicle springs that have been made as if it was a sports car. Also included leather seats, a music system with 10 speakers and the ability to play CD and MP3 formats.
