BMW (North America) announced that the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) awarded the BMW X3 and X5 2008 the maximum rating of `Good` in all of the series of accident tests, earning both cars the Institute`s most wanted TOP SAFETY PICK Award.
"We are proud to receive the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety鈥檚 TOP SAFETY PICK for both the 2008 BMW X3 and X5," said Tom Purves, the Chairman and CEO of BMW (US) Holding Corp. "Achieving these top ratings is evidence of the excellent safety and crash protection provided by the X3 and X5 SAVs and is a true testament to BMW鈥檚 dedication to providing a safe and superior driving experience".
