Volvo announced that, beginning in late 2008, it will equip almost all of its 2009 autos 鈥斺�� with HD Radio. The HD Radio 鈥� an AM/FM service, it offers more channels, better sound quality and data services, displaying info on the head unit, like song titles or weather reports even. No costs or fees using the HD Radio.
"We believe Volvo will have the largest standard-equipped HD Radio technology fleet in the world,鈥� Dick Bott, business and product vice president at Volvo in North American brand, told Automotive News. 鈥淎dding HD Radio capability to our S40 T5, V50 T5, C30, C70, S80, V70, XC70 and XC90 models truly makes our audio systems state of the art鈥�.
