Audi made the announcement that the upcoming R8 Spider will appear in a 60-second clip on Fox`s transmission of Super Bowl XLII. And Audi plans to keep all of this a secret until the official day, but is great to know what to expect: `We are going to keep our cards close to the vest until Super Bowl day actually arrives, because I think we have a dramatic message`.
The ad will be aired only during the Super Bowl broadcast on February 3.
The R8 is nicked a "halo" auto, designed to grab your attention. It will hit the dealerships in October, beginning with a price of $109,000. 104 of Audi`s R8 were sold in that month, plus 67 in November.
