Toyota plans on selling 9.85 million autos worldwide next year, despite some predicted slump in the car industry. The company also plans a 5% hike in car production — with a total of 9.95 million autos worldwide — exactly the same expected annual percentage rise as the global sales at Toyota.
Toyota will overtake GM as the number one carmaker in the world. Toyota will probably be selling 9.36 million cars this year, comparing to the 9.3 million at GM (retaining the title for 76 years).
