The First generation Crown Victoria was launched in the year 1955. On its introduction the car was a two door coupe model that could seat 6. The car on launch was the first Ford model that was air-conditioned. The car had a production run of two years before its production was stopped. The second generation of the Crown Victoria was launched as a Limited edition in 1983. The Limited name was used on two different vehicles, a full size vehicle that was called the Limited Crown Victoria and a middle size car which was built on the Ford Fox body which was called the Limited. The Limited Crown Victoria was powered by a 5.0 Liter Engine and got new a new look in the front.
The third generation hit the roads in 1992. This time it was given a whole new body and had a choice of 190 or 210 Horsepower V8 engine to power it. The vehicle got minor changes till 1995, when it got a new look with a new grill, bumpers and cover for the cargo space. The dashboard was also changed in 1995. In 1998 Ford introduced its fourth generation vehicle. The vehicle was given a better outer look, the rear body was strengthened and the starter was improved. Though the vehicle was now better to drive, the overall carrying capacity of the vehicle was reduced. The vehicle was now powered by a 3.4 Liter V8 engine.
The fifth generation had a body built of hydroformed steel. The vehicle's front and rear suspension were also improved and the engine was further tuned to give better power. The new Ford Crown Victoria is a rear drive vehicle available in two versions, base and LX. Both The versions are powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine. The base model is equipped with 16 inch tires, air conditioning, divided bench seating, a music system with A CD player and entry into The vehicle is without keys. The LX has the same engine as the base, but the temperatures in the car can be controlled automatically, it has overhead storage space and reading lights for the rear passengers.
