Several hours before its official world debut at the Detroit auto show, the new model from Volkswagen called simply "CC", has been revealed for the satisfaction of many fans of the VW series.
The CC will be available in three different petrol engine options including a 160hp 1.8L TSI, a 200hp 2.0L TFSI and a range topping 300hp 3.6L V6 FSI. For the ones that prefer the diesel vehicles, there is a good news:they can opt from two different 2.0L motors developing 140 and 170hp respectively. Drive is sent to the front wheels via a seven speed DSG, and an AWD option is also available.Even though the CC version is based on the Passat platform, the car sits 5cm lower and stretches 3cm more than the regular VW sedan.
