After launching the first version of the GLK model, the Freeside Concept, just a week ago, it came the time for the second version of the Benz SUV to be revealed: the Townside Concept vehicle. While the Freeside version addresses to those persons that lung to take their car offroad, the Townside is made specially for those who want to remain on the city's streets pubs. The latest concept was unveiled on the eve of the Detroit Auto Show by Chief Dr. Dieter Zetsche in a special presentation.
While the Mercedes Freeside gets longer spring travel, chunky five-spoke alloys, side mouldings and a power bulge and a roof rack, the Townside features shorter springs (lowering ride height by 30mm), mulitspoke and polished alloy wheels and smoother panels than its off-road cousin.
