New sales record for Porsche

It seems that Porsche is getting through another sales record for the company, moreover with the introduction of several new models on the market, the exclusive sports car brand shows no sign of slowing down. The car company succedeed to exceed its target sales for the year of 2007, just in the last six months managing a 19% increase in sales and with a revenue over 5.1 billion dollars. Best sold model is again the very-well known Cayenne SUV and thanks to the recent facelift the vehicle suffered, the sales grew to double (46,600 units) in just half a year.
According to Automotive News, the sales were not that impressive in the markets such as USA or Germany where Porsche had a sales increase of 11% and respectively, 4%. However, according to the same source in other regions, the sales increased by more than 28%. On the other hand, Porsche has been criticized lately for losing its exclusivity and bringing on the market vehicles that are not at the same standard which Porsche got us used to. But the car maker seems not to be very much interested in the criticizes brought, so Porsche is planning to expand into even more segments- this means that we can expect even more sales to come from this very appreciated wheels builder.
