Kimi Raikkonen, 2007 world champion, is rumored that he will not race on the formula one driver market again. He declared for several profile magazines that there is a probability to retire after his contract ends in two years from now. He added that he will close his career with Ferrari, either at the close of the 2009 season, or beyond.
Raikkonnen did not make any plans yet on what he will do after Formula 1, but he says that he does not fear future. 鈥淭he one certainty is that one day I will feel the need to do something else. I would do a few rallies maybe, or something else 鈥� I don鈥檛 know. I will do what I want, basically,鈥� he explained.
Regarding Ferrari, Raikkonen told Marca at the Valencia tests this week that 鈥淚 see no reason to leave this team. I have two years remaining on my contract, but in any case I believe that, whatever happens, this will be my last team.鈥� However, he did refuse to make any comments about when his retirment should take place. 鈥淚 have no idea,鈥� said Raikkonen. 鈥淔or the moment I am here and I have no intention to change that. When I end my contract with Ferrari I will be 30 years old, and it will be the time to decide whether to keep going or not.鈥�
