Among the very-much expected concept cars to be shown off at the March鈥檚 Geneva Motor Show is the work of a group of students from Italy鈥檚 famed Istituto Europeo di Design (IED)- the concept that they will present there will be the full-scale Maserati Chicane coupe concept, which brings some unique and innovative features but also continues the cues of the current GranTurismo. This year鈥檚 presentation represents the fifth year in a row in which students from IED are bringing on the market a new concept at Geneva, and this year鈥檚 sponsors seem to be the famous Pirelli calendar, Cecomp and OZ Racing. The final concept is designed to feature 2+2 seating capacity and a front-mounted V8 engine and will measure 4,400 mm in length.
Furthermore, the Chicane is not the only concept that the IED students are working at this year. They will be also showcasing several scale model hybrid designs for Toyota including the new Forma, Waterfall and H.A.L.O. Hybrid Advance Line Over concepts. Regarding the Chicane concept, there are rumors that say Maserati is developing a new entry-level sporst coupe so it will be no surprize if the new concept will look somehow alike this.
