BMW unveiled a few days ago the first details about the M3 Convertible. It`s powered by a V8 engine (the same as the Coupe and the Sedan variant) that delivers 420 hp plus a peak torque of 295 lb-ft - 8,400 rpm.
The 100 km/h acceleration comes in only 5.3 seconds and the vehicle continues to surge ahead showing increasing power and performance while the driver keeps the gas pedal down, all the way to the auto`s maximum speed of 250 km/h - 155 mph, where the electronic control unit of the engine sets a limit to the performance and ongoing speed of this open-air athlete.
