The Chrysler Sebring, which replaced the LeBaron on its introduction in 1995 as a coupe. The convertible version of the Sebring that came out in 1996 was built on the JA body, while the earlier coupe version was built on the Eclipse body borrowed from Mitsubishi. The car was powered by an LX engine having four cylinders, or a 2.5 Liter V6 Lxi engine in 1995. The production of the first generation Sebring stopped in the year 2000.

When the second generation Sebring came into the market in 2001, it came in many forms. As with the earlier coupe version, the current one was based on the Eclipse, while the sedan and convertible were based on the Cirrus. The sedan was in fact a kind of a replacement for the Breeze manufactured by Plymouth. Plymouth was closed down in 2001, and all its brands were renamed by Chrysler. In 2004 the car got new frontage and the logo of the manufacturer was placed in the rear of the car.

The Sebring model that is now available in 2008 comes as a sedan and convertible. The Sebring is available in three versions; LX, Touring and Limited. While the base model is powered by a 173 horsepower 2.4 Liter engine, the Touring model has a 2.7 Liter V6 and the Limited has a 3.5 Liter V6. The base and Limited Versions have an automatic gear system comprising of four gears. The LX is equipped with 16 inch tires, air conditioning, power accessories, rear seat, and a stereo system with four speakers and 6disc CD player. The LX convertible has front seats that can be moved six different ways, and an audio player with 6 speakers. The Limited comes with leather seats and a sound system made by Boston Acoustics.
