NHTSA investigates Toyota and Saab

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that it`s looking into the problems reported for two Saab and Toyota autos. The Saab investigation is involving 49,932 9-3 Aero sedans having 2.8L turbocharged engine.
Although there are no recalls, the NHTSA`s investigating five complaints about a loss of braking power that`s involving the 9-3 Aero sedans. No injuries are linked to this problem, although there is one accident reported.
The NHSTA has announced also that it`s investigating complaints about the Toyota Tacoma pickup trucks 2006-2007 for unintentional acceleration. The investigation could affect 362,000 cars.
In the past Toyota has had some similar problems with its Lexus ES and Prius due to damaged floor mat.
