Mitsubishi will reveal the 2009 Galant mid-size sedan at the Chicago Auto Show. Sales will start in February with prices begining at $21,099 for Galant ES and the Galant Sport Edition; $23,099 for Galant Sport-V6 and $27,299 for Galant Ralliart.
The Galant 2009 line is offering four distinct trim levels plus three performance levels: ES, V6 Sport, Sport Edition and Galant Ralliart. All Galant units come standard with the Sportronic庐 automatic transmission - 4-speed with 4-cylinder engine and 5-speed with two V-6 engines.
The Ralliart model runs with a 258-hp MIVEC V-6 engine 3.8-liter with a 5-speed Sportronic automatic transmission and special Ralliart-tuned sport suspension, all new 18-inch alloy wheels plus exclusive exterior styling.
Both Galant ES and Sport Edition have a 160-hp MIVEC 4-cylinder 2.4-liter engine, teamed to four-speed automatic transmission featuring Sportronic. The new Sport V-6 model has exclusively a smooth, responsive 3.8-liter 230-hp V-6 engine.
