After the racial abuse directed at Lewis Hamilton at the recent Barcelona test by the Spanish spectators, the F1 governing body declared very dissapointed by the incident and mentioned that this kind of attitude will not be tolerated anymore. Several publications were told by the official Paris based FIA spokesman that it had noted the events of the three-day session at Circuit de Catalunya, during which supporters of Fernando Alonso threw rubbish at McLaren personnel and screamed abuse at Hamilton. The races, whose roots are from the Caribbean island of Grenada, was taunted at with cries and mean words and even banners saying 鈥濻top talking shit!鈥� or moreover, 鈥渉ijo de puta鈥� (son of whore) and 鈥渘egro de mierda鈥� (black shit).
Furthermore, the FIA official commented that 鈥淭he FIA is surprised and disappointed at the abuse directed at Lewis Hamilton. An act of this kind is a clear breach of the principles enshrined in the FIA statutes and any repetition will result in sanctions.鈥� On the other side, Spanish sports magazines revealed that Alonso, despite with his former teammate Hamilton at McLaren last year, dissaproves of the behaviour of his countrymen and is also dissapointed with the unfortunate event. Sources close to the doucle world champion, Hamilton, told the press that 鈥淪ome of these people are animals.鈥�
