The successor to the limited-edition C5 GTR program which started almost 10 years ago seems to be, according to latest news from Michigan-based Specter Werkes, the new C6-based Corvette GTR. The upcoming model from Chevrolet is designed to be an improvement in style and performance of the sporty Chevy, and the new GTR package is available on a full lineup including the base models coupe and convertible, Z06 and also the ZR1. There are new features available for the model, like exposed carbon fiber details on the exterior, a new front fascia, carbon fiber splitter, extractor hood, front fenders, rocker panels, rear fenders, rear fascia, a carbon fiber rear diffuser and custom paint schemes.
Extra features include 335mm Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Zero tires in the rear and 285mm rubber up front, GTR embroidered seats and a full stainless steel exhaust system, forged HRE wheels measuring 20in, a carbon engine dress up kit, carbon highlights in the headlamps and new taillights. The price for a standard Corvette GTR package starts somewhere at 35,000 dollars, with many high-performance powertrain options available for additional money. The exclusive production-line will start manufacturing this spring, with each piese being numbered and fully documented for each customer.
