NAIAS (North American International Auto Show) announced today the show of next year will take place at Cobo Center in Detroit on 2009 Jan. 11 -25. The Press Preview will be active from Sunday, Jan. 11 until Tuesday, Jan. 13. And the Industry Preview on Wednesday, Jan. 14 and on Thursday, Jan. 15. This annual gala black-tie Charity Preview will be held on Jan. 16 - Friday evening. Public Days will be active from Saturday Jan. 17 until Sunday, Jan. 25.
In the NAIAS 2008 review, the organizers reported that of the 58 total autos revealed, 44 were worldwide premieres and 14 were debuts in North America. The NAIAS welcomed also over 700,000 attendees, 6,000 international media from almost 60 countries with a host of celebrities plus 37,000 industry insiders picked from 2,000 firms. In addition, 6 million dollars was raised for the children`s charities at the yearly black-tie Charity Preview.
