A new supercar is announced to enter the market sometime this year- a supercar built by the British marque Arash Motor Company that has already unveiled the vehicle called AF-8, and named it a sister to the bigger AF-10. The engine to power the car will be the same used for the Chevrolet’s Corvette Z06, a 7.0-litre V8 and it should have a topspeed of 204mph and hit 60mph in about 3.4 seconds.
Unlike the AF-10 model, the AF-8 does not have Le Mans racer-butterfly doors, but instead it has a roof-mounted air intake and raised front wing, plus an ‘active’ back wing and diffuser to ensure the rear downforce matches that at the front and of course, the firm’s signature rear-facing side ducts to provide cooling for the front carbon ceramic brake discs. It seems that the latest model from Arash was designed to rival the Ferrari F430 and the Lamborghini Gallardo, while the AF-10 version represents the competition for the bigger Murciélago and 599GTB, using a supercharged 7.0-litre V8 engine. However, the price will be quite higher than the one assumed first- this means over 172,000 £ for the AF-10 model which is to be presented this autumn.
