The $2500 auto made by Tata Motors will be coming to Europe in 4 years. The Nano was revealed last month at the Autoexpo in Delhi and if everything goes as planned, this amazing vehicle will rock the whole world.
But before it starts its European innings, the auto has to evolve, meeting the international standards. We will develop a successor model in four years time, which will meet the Euro 5 emission regulations and the crash standards in Europe Girish Wagh was quoted by Focus on Sunday.
Apparently Tata is pushing hard to bring down Nano`s fuel consumption from 5lit/100 km to 3lit/100 km. Tata will be concentrating on selling the auto locally before it heads to the developing countries like the southeast Asia, African and Latin America. Production will start this year in October, and the firm plans to produce around 250,000 units and eventually reaching to almost a million units yearly.
This vehicle will address the cost-conscious buyers, whether in India or all over. The European variant is expected to have a larger engine, airbags, re-engineered crumple zones and disc brakes up front. It might come also with a CVT setting and upgraded styling. So, would you buy this beauty?
