The refreshed S2000 from Honda is on sale now in the UK with some new suspension settings making the iconic two-seater more predictable, communicative and exhilarating to be droved. The handling and performance characteristics of the S2000 have been enhanced by suspension changes. The new set-up is quite the same to that fitted to the Japanese counterpart – S2000 Type-S.
Re-tuned dampers, some up rated springs and the thicker anti-roll bars that gives greater stability to the car, agile handling and much more responsive steering, helping harness the high-revving 240PS 2.0-litre i-VTEC engine of the S2000.
Also featuring on this 2008 auto is a new design of the 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels plus a new paint color – the Synchro Silver. On the inside, there`re three new leather for the interior you can choose from – Brown with red stitching, Black with red stitching and Red with black sides. There`s also a design change on the headrest frame, re-shaped to offer bigger roll-over protection.
`The S2000 has always been a raw, exciting, performance car,` said Tom Gardner, the Head of Marketing, Honda (UK), `but some found the car a little too edgy in some conditions. These latest changes, make the S2000 even more fun to drive but predictable too – giving the driver more confidence`.
Sales in 2007 for the S2000 totaled 563 units. The vehicle costs from £28,050 for the Roadster model and £28,600 for the GT with detachable roof.
