Bob Lutz - Chairman at General Motors may think that the global warming is `a crock` but Rick Wagoner - GM CEO made it clear Tuesday at a press event that General Motors doesn`t share the Lutz`s views. And instead, Wagoner believes global warming is a quite real issue facing this planet and that carmakers must take some action.
"The comments weren't coming out of our company" Wagoner reported to The Detroit News at that event.
Wagoner continued saying that the average temperatures all over the world are growing, and while there's no definitive evidence that links autos to the global warming, it's General Motor's goal to minimize its cars' emissions of CO2.
Lutz defended his position on the global warming last month on General Motor's corporate blog, affirming "My beliefs are mine and I have a right to them". However, Bob Lutz insists he shares General Motor's point of view on "the removal of cars and trucks from the environmental equation".
