The all-new 370Z by Nissan is still eight months away from the official unveiling, but photos of the all new coupe are now online. The pictures of the Z come from scanned pages of some Japanese magazine previewing the auto that could grace the stage for Nissan at the Motor Show in Paris in October or at the Auto Show in November in Los Angeles.
The vehicle pictured is camouflaged, but a separate picture purports showing the headlight model without disguise.
Overall, this 370Z model — which is developed under the name C53D — it appears to keep exactly the same general shape like the present 350Z. But, the front headlights — that will use the LEDs — are a lot more dramatic than the present auto's. The rear seems to be also a bit stubbier, having a sharper crease through the trailing hatch edge.
The 370Z model is expected to be using the same VQ37VHR powerplant that’s found on the Infiniti G37 — the V6 displacing the 3.7L — producing over 330 horsepower.
In December 2006, product planning for Nissan VP Larry Dominique affirmed the next Z generation would "have considerably more performance than the current model and give a visual stimulus beyond today’s Z". He said that it would continue delivering the promise that it will be attainable to a large segment of people.
