At New York International Auto Show held today, the Mini brand from BMW announced the pricing for all the high-performance John Cooper Works units. The basic hardtop will run $29,200 plus the extended-length Clubman starting at $31,450.
Both of the costs include the transportation fee of $650 as well as the scheduled maintenance of three years. Mini affirmed that those JCWs will be on sale in the middle of the summer.
Powered by a four-cylinder 208 horsepower - the same motor like in the Mini Challenge race auto - the JCW units are capable of 147 mile-per-hour maximum speed. The standard vehicle runs 60 miles per hour in only 6.2 seconds plus the Clubman is taking 6.5 seconds to hit the same mark.
An entire line of appearance plus performance upgrades are now available, though some unique styling bits plus the Brembo brakes will be basic on the JCW models.
