Volvo revealed the turbocharged XC70 T6 model for 2009 in New York. The new variant will go on the market in the fall of this year. Pricing will be announced later. The XC70 T6 runs with a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine with an output of 281 hp and torque at 295 lb.-ft. Mated to this engine is the six-speed "Geartronic" with automatic transmission, enabling the driver from shifting manually when needed. Every XC70 unit comes standard featuring All-Wheel Drive with Instant TractionTM, ensuring the best road grip that鈥檚 possible in all existent situations. Electronic Hill Descent Control (HDC) is using the auto鈥檚 brakes and the engine torque for crawling into bottom gear on the steep downhill slopes.
Introduced on the XC70 2008, an integrated height-adjustable booster cushion is now available, teaming with some extended inflatable curtain.
