Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. — a Suzuki division — took the wraps off of the brand new Swift DZire in New Delhi on Wednesday. The all-new Swift DZire joined the Swift and SX4 model in the Indian lineup of Suzuki and is intended to `redefine the market and stir excitement in the entry level sedan segment`.
Despite the attempt of Suzuki to stir the excitement in the department, the exterior design of that Swift Dzire unit could be causing potential customers to feel lots of emotion except the desire. Overall the auto's shape is best presented as awkward and it appear as though the BMW designer Chris Bangle's signature with "Bangle-butt" is alive and well… still.
On the inside, this Swift DZire unit is much more conventional and it offers a long list of things not found in this segment normally, including power windows, the steering wheel mounted audio controls plus automatic climate control.
The Swift DZire unit can be fitted with a 1.3L gas engine — making 87 horsepower — or 1.3L diesel having 140 lb-ft of torque.
