KTM reveals X-Bow race auto to compete in the FIA GT4 championship

KTM is making good apparently on its promises to race, as it announced recently Reiter Engineering will be campaigning two KTM X-Bow autos in the GT4 European Cup 2008. The first X-Bow race will take place in the U.K. at Silverstone on April 20 at the Sport Lights class.
With the KTM X-bow鈥檚 launch set for this summer, both prospective customers and those who already have deposits will get the chance to see a variant of their auto in the heat of this amazing competition. German-based Reiter Engineering raced successfully in the Cup's FIA GT4 Euro, GT1, GT2 plus GT3 class with Lamborghinis. So, KTM will work now closely with the team, making use of the racetrack to see and develop more its vehicles under the demanding conditions of the race.
Drivers of these two X-Bows units will include the Italian Loris Bicocchi and the German Catharina Felser. So, Bicocchi was the development driver also for the auto, a job he did behind the 800 horsepower Koenigsegg CCR鈥檚 wheel. The experience of Felser includes Formula Ford plus Formula 3.
KTM will be applying what it has learned on this season to a racing variant of the X-Bow it plans on selling to independent teams quickly, by the end of 2008.
